Alyssa Nolde - Psychologist

Alyssa Nolde, PsyD

I practice from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) standpoint, which emphasizes helping people by changing their relationship to unhelpful thoughts, and coming up with ways to live meaningfully. I also enjoy working with the relationship between clients and myself. I believe you are the expert of your own experience, and my role is to help you move toward your goals and live a life you value.

I have experience working with individuals from diverse and multicultural backgrounds. I believe that each aspect of your identity is an important piece of the picture of you, and can be a key aspect of our work together. I value the chance to work with people whose opinions, perspectives, and identifies differ from my own, and I am mindful of respecting these differences in therapy.

My areas of interest include with working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD/ learning disabilities, co-occurring health concerns, personality disorders, sexual identity, and personal growth. In addition to therapy, I provide assessment and evaluation services geared towards the diagnosis of mental health disorders, including ADHD and learning disabilities.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from New Mexico State University in 2012. In 2014 I received my Master’s of science in Clinical Psychology from the Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology, followed by my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2017. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the University of Texas at El Paso – University Counseling Center. I am currently working towards licensure in the state of Oregon under the supervision of Joseph Rhinewine, PhD.
